CCIA for Virtualization Update Path

Individuals who hold a current Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) or Citrix Certified Integration Architect (CCIA) for Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server 4) can update to the CCIA for Virtualization by meeting the requirements below.

This path will be available to CCEA and CCIA for XenApp (Presentation Server 4) certificants until further notice as the update deadline has not yet been announced. Once the deadline is determined, it will be announced on our website and via email to registered certificants. To ensure you are notified of this update, confirm your contact information in Certification Manger.

Step 1.
Pass Engineering Exam*

A15 Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution

Prepare with:
CVE-400-1 Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution

Step 2.
Gain Architect-level field experience (recommended)

Successful candidates for this certification will have extensive field experience related to architecting Citrix virtualization-based solutions. Detailed information on this recommendation will be available with the release of the certification
Step 3.
Pass Architecting Exam

Exam
A16 Architecting a Citrix Virtualization Solution

Prepare with:
CVA-500-1 Architecting a Citrix Virtualization Solution
Step 4.
Complete CCIA Program documentation
To complete this certification, candidates must:
  • Agree to the CCIA for Virtualization program agreement available in Certification Manager
  • Complete online profile questionnaire available in Certification Manager

Note: This documentation will be available with the release of the certification.  

* The content in the Engineering a Citrix Virtualization Solution exam is based on XenApp 5.0 for Windows Server 2008 and experience in and/or knowledge of Windows Server 2008 is highly recommended.
